Representatives of all economy sectors, from the agricultural to the tourism and entertainment sectors, participate in order to win.
Gambling not only did not become an exception to this general rule but also reorganized the activities of the Ukrainian gambling market, so that some of them focus directly on providing targeted charitable support to the army and funding for nationwide humanitarian needs.
I have already written about the introduction of marketing technologies by legal gaming companies to raise funds for charity. Now, it is time to see how many gambling resources they managed to accumulate in this way.
Let us start with the simplest technical solution implemented by Slots City. The content of the company’s initiative is as follows: the casino transfers UAH 10 to help the country after each successful deposit. Launched in March, this campaign will last until the end of martial law in Ukraine.
Through this initiative, UAH 350,000 was collected in April. UAH 210,000 was spent on an SUV for the AFU. Another UAH 100,000 was transferred to provide rations to the territorial defence in the Odessa region, and the remaining UAH 40,000 was spent on ammunition for soldiers.
The legal gambling operator Parimatch Ukraine holds charity auctions where athletes’ collectibles from the company’s museum are sold. Parimatch has set out to accumulate UAH 1 million for humanitarian needs.
As of May 8, nine auction rounds had taken place. The total amount collected is UAH 374,000. The winners of the previous rounds have already received their lots and transferred money to assist Ukraine.
At the end of April, Ukraine received another aid package from the GGPoker poker room. This time, the world poker leader transferred more than UAH 2.5 million to the NBU special account.
Funds were raised at the sixteenth special charity tournament in the GGPoker network, the Ukraine Fundraising Event, which took place as part of the WSOP Circuit world tournament series.
Tournament participants made 799 entries. From each buy-in, USD 111 was deducted for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
With support from International and Ukrainian Sport Poker Federations, PokerMatch launched a series of charity tournaments Victory Cup, with all the raised funds directed to humanitarian needs.
Today, seven tournaments have already taken place, with more than UAH 900,000 collected. PokerMatch has already assisted residents of de-occupied Ukrainian cities, hospitals, and medical institutions in eastern Ukraine, purchased protective equipment and communication means for our military, and much more.
Despite all the wartime difficulties, the business believes in Ukraine’s victory and is doing all in its power to bring it closer. At the same time, modern marketing technologies help national licensed gambling companies to help the AFU and internally displaced persons more effectively.
